The treatment of its main character in the first issue comes across as pretty freaking dark and over the top cruel. spiritual sister series, Mahou Shoujo Site, isn't (yet) an end of the world type thing. I like how it unloads a variety of tropes so things don't get stale. It's basically Highschool of the Dead but with robotish magical girls instead of zombies, with that same market demographic meant to appeal to 13 year old boys.
